Study finds most organizations recognize the need for connected data, content, and workflows, but few have built the operational foundation required to scale AI 

CLEVELAND, April 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Hyland, a global leader in enterprise content management (ECM) and the pioneer of AI-driven content intelligence with the Content Innovation Cloud™ , today announced new research from Harvard Business Review Analytic Services, Bridging the Readiness Gap to the Agentic Enterprise, showing that enterprise AI ambition is advancing faster than enterprise readiness. While organizations increasingly recognize that AI success depends on connected data, content, and workflows, most have not yet built the operational foundation required to scale it. 

The gap is especially visible in how organizations are managing enterprise information. While nearly all (94%) of respondents say well-connected data, processes, and applications are highly important to successful AI adoption, less than a third (27%) say those elements are well connected in their organization today. And although 65% say their structured data is somewhat or fully prepared for AI use, only 39% say the same about their unstructured data, including emails, PDFs, images, video, and other document-based content that make up much of the information businesses rely on every day. 

Untapped Opportunity in Unstructured Data 

For many organizations, the issue is not a lack of data. It is that much of the most operationally important information remains trapped in unstructured data spread across repositories, applications, and workflows. The report suggests that closing this gap will require more than deploying new AI tools. It will depend on building a stronger foundation for governance, access, and workflow execution, especially as organizations move toward more agentic forms of AI. 

“As organizations move into the next phase of AI, the challenge is no longer just access to models, but whether the business is ready to operationalize AI in a way that is governed, contextual, and trusted,” said Jitesh S. The research identifies several barriers that continue to limit organizations’ ability to adopt and scale AI. The top-cited data challenges are data silos (54%), data security and privacy issues (48%), data format issues (46%), insufficient data management and governance (46%), and insufficient or unclear data strategy (45%). Just 10% cite a lack of data as a primary issue, reinforcing that the central problem is not volume, but readiness, access, and trust. 

A Practical Path to Enterprise AI Readiness 

The findings also suggest that many organizations still have not embedded AI into day-to-day operations. Among respondents at organizations actively using, piloting, or exploring AI, 39% say most AI-enabled workflows still rely on separate, standalone tools, while only 12% say AI is embedded directly within the flow of work. Fewer than half, 45%, say their AI projects are delivering the outcomes they expected. 

“As companies move toward advanced and agentic forms of AI, the bar is being raised; not just for technology, but for how information flows, decisions are governed, and value is measured,” said Amy Machado, senior research manager at IDC. “The organizations that invest in modernizing their content foundations and embedding intelligence into real workflows will be best positioned to turn AI ambition into sustained impact.”

FIRENZE – La Regione Toscana ha dato il via libera all’elenco delle domande ammesse per ottenere i contributi destinati alla riqualificazione e al miglioramento delle pinete situate lungo la fascia costiera. Il provvedimento, formalizzato attraverso un apposito decreto dirigenziale, mette sul piatto un budget complessivo di 1.275.452 euro.

Il piano di aiuti permetterà di realizzare una serie di interventi mirati e concreti per la cura del patrimonio boschivo: le operazioni previste spaziano dal decespugliamento all’abbattimento degli alberi malati, fino alla messa a dimora di nuove piante. I fondi copriranno inoltre opere di piccola entità volte al consolidamento delle dune sabbiose che confinano direttamente con le aree alberate. L’obiettivo della misura è duplice: da un lato tutelare la salute degli ecosistemi litoranei, dall’altro rendere questi polmoni verdi maggiormente godibili e accoglienti per i turisti e i visitatori.

L’erogazione di queste risorse rappresenta la seconda fase di un percorso amministrativo più ampio. Se il primo intervento era stato concepito in via esclusiva per gli enti pubblici, questa nuova finestra di finanziamenti ha allargato la partecipazione, includendo tra i beneficiari anche i soggetti privati.

Le cifre assegnate, che a seguito delle opportune verifiche sui singoli dossier potranno coprire fino al cento per cento dei costi sostenibili, prevedono dei tetti massimi differenziati: ogni beneficiario privato potrà ottenere fino a 100mila euro, mentre per le realtà pubbliche il limite di contributo sale a 180mila euro. La graduatoria attuale vede le prime quattordici domande classificate come potenzialmente finanziabili; i successivi sei progetti in lista restano invece esclusi dall’erogazione per mancanza di risorse.

Developed for aluminium producer Zhongfu Industrial, the system is engineered to significantly reduce electricity costs through peak shaving for industrial-scale energy storage in the electrolytic aluminium sector. 

Overcoming Industrial Energy Challenges 

Primary aluminium smelting is highly energy-intensive, consuming 13-15 MWh per tonne produced, with power accounting for up to 40% of total costs. Furthermore, sudden power outages can trigger catastrophic multi-million-yuan losses due to electrolyte freezing, demanding exceptionally reliable PCS. 

This BESS tackles these challenges head-on. By storing low-cost electricity during off-peak hours and discharging it during peak tariff periods, the system saves Zhongfu Industrial an estimated 140 yuan per tonne of aluminium. This translates to annual savings exceeding 60 million yuan while cutting CO₂ emissions by roughly 52,000 tonnes per year.

L’allarme è scattato intorno alle 14,40, quando un cittadino ha segnalato un’autovettura precipitata in una scarpata a causa di una manovra accidentale. I militari dell’Arma, giunti immediatamente sul posto, hanno individuato il veicolo ribaltato su un fianco in una zona di difficile accesso, caratterizzata da una fitta vegetazione e dalla presenza del corso d’acqua sottostante.

Senza esitazione, i carabinieri hanno raggiunto a piedi il luogo dell’impatto, superando le asperità del terreno e guadando il fiume per prestare i primi soccorsi. Una volta raggiunto il mezzo, i militari hanno riscontrato le condizioni critiche della conducente che, a causa del forte trauma, manifestava stati di incoscienza. Valutata l’urgenza e il rischio d’imminente aggravamento delle condizioni della donna, gli operanti hanno proceduto con determinazione all’estrazione della malcapitata, forzando manualmente la portiera del veicolo per liberarla dalle lamiere.

Successivamente, sul luogo dell’evento sono intervenuti i vigili del fuoco di Montemurlo e il personale medico della Misericordia di Vernio, che ha provveduto al trasporto della donna presso il pronto soccorso dell’ospedale di Prato. I rilievi planimetrici volti a ricostruire l’esatta dinamica del sinistro sono stati affidati alla polizia municipale della Valbisenzio.

L’operazione testimonia, ancora una volta, la costante presenza e la prontezza operativa dell’Arma dei carabinieri nel presidio del territorio, valori fondanti volti alla tutela e alla salvaguardia dell’incolumità dei cittadini, anche nelle situazioni di maggiore emergenza e pericolo.

Reggio Calabria, 29 Aprile 2026. Dai sistemi di climatizzazione delle automobili ai frigoriferi industriali, fino ad arrivare agli impianti di condizionamento installati nelle abitazioni, negli uffici e nelle strutture commerciali, i gas fluorurati a effetto serra, altrimenti noti come F-Gas, sono usati in molte applicazioni della vita quotidiana.  

Per quanto non danneggino lo strato di ozono, questi gas artificiali hanno un alto potenziale di GWP (Global Warming Potential, ovvero Potenziale di Riscaldamento Globale).  

Proprio per il loro possibile impatto ambientale, questi gas e gli impianti che li utilizzano sono regolati da un quadro normativo che disciplina in modo rigoroso le attività di installazione, riparazione, manutenzione, smantellamento, controllo delle perdite e recupero, imponendo requisiti stringenti per gli operatori del settore.  

Il riferimento europeo che disciplina gli F-Gas è il Regolamento (UE) 2024/573. Nel nostro Paese, il sistema è disciplinato dal D.P.R. 146/2018, che definisce modalità e requisiti per la certificazione degli operatori del settore. 

Le disposizioni prevedono due livelli: la certificazione della persona fisica – spesso indicata, impropriamente, come “patentino F-Gas” – e quella dell’impresa. Solo la presenza di entrambe consente di operare legalmente su apparecchiature contenenti gas fluorurati. 

Per ottenere la certificazione della persona fisica è necessario superare un esame presso un Organismo di Valutazione accreditato da Accredia, l’Ente Italiano di Accreditamento.  

La certificazione dell’impresa è un’attestazione organizzativo-strumentale che garantisce che l’azienda ha gli strumenti idonei a supportare il lavoro dei tecnici in modo sicuro e tracciabile.  

A livello normativo si deve poi ricordare il Regolamento (CE) n. 307/2008, relativo alle attività di recupero dei gas fluorurati dagli impianti di climatizzazione dei veicoli a motore, introducendo obblighi specifici per gli autoriparatori. 

L’ottenimento della certificazione richiede una preparazione che comprenda conoscenze normative e competenze tecniche. Il percorso di formazione è quindi un passaggio necessario per affrontare l’esame previsto e operare nel rispetto delle disposizioni vigenti.
