La nuova rassegna si apre mercoledì 6 maggio alle 16 con Nicoletta Verna e il suo romanzo L’inverno delle stelle pubblicato daRizzoli.

Un’avventura appassionante e un romanzo di formazione perfetto per parlare di Resistenza, empatia e scelta individuale attraverso gli occhi della giovane Sirio nella Fiesole del 1943. Un’opera che racconta ai ragazzi di oggi la complessità della Storia, quella fatta di zone grigie, scelte morali e conflitti. Dialogano con l’autrice le ragazze e i ragazzi delle classi 2AL, 2DL e 2Bbio dell’I.I.S. Carlo Livi e 1As e 1Bs del Liceo Statale Niccolò Copernico di Prato.

Sabato 9 maggio alle 17, la rassegna prosegue con un viaggio nell’universo poliedrico di Franco Battiato. Alessio Cantarella presenterà il volume Battiato l’artista edito da Mimesis, un’opera impreziosita dalle illustrazioni di Maurizio Di Bona (in arte The Hand) che esplora i sentieri meno battuti della carriera del Maestro siciliano: non solo la musica, ma anche il cinema e la pittura. A cinque anni dalla sua scomparsa, questo “omaggio delicato” rivive attraverso le testimonianze di chi lo ha conosciuto da vicino, restituendo pellicole, ricordi e parole, in un dialogo d’eccezione tra l’autore, Guido Guerrera e Syusy Blady.

L’incontro successivo di venerdì 15 maggio alle 18 vede protagonista Luca Martinelli con il giallo La casa del vizio pubblicato dalla casa editrice Damster. Ambientato nella Prato del primo Novecento, il romanzo ruota attorno al misterioso omicidio di Giacinta Mannori in una villa isolata adibita a bisca clandestina e luogo di prostituzione. Il maresciallo Giorgio Chilleri, a un passo dalla pensione, dovrà risolvere l’enigma muovendosi tra l’omertà della buona società locale e i segreti di una famiglia dal passato turbolento. Si prosegue venerdì 22 maggio alle 18 con Giacomo Agnoletti e Marco Di Branco sotto lo pseudonimo Abu Muslim e il loro thriller mozzafiato La falena e la candela edito daIl Cerchio. Partendo dagli attentati terroristici di Londra e del Cairo del 2003, le indagini conducono a una scoperta incredibile: la possibile rifondazione dell’antica setta degli assassini di Alamut, i cui adepti erano celebri per i loro eccellenti omicidi sotto l’effetto di massicce dosi di hashish. Un pretesto narrativo per riflettere sul presente alla luce dello specchio infranto del passato. Dialoga con gli autori Maurizio Tempestini.

Il ciclo si conclude venerdì 12 giugno alle 18 con Rosa Matteucci, una delle voci più originali della narrativa contemporanea, «impietosa, feroce cantatrice del “nonostante”», come la definì Carlo Fruttero.

E poi gli animali del disegnatore “Leonida”, il mondo contadino in miniatura, l’affascinante passeggiata a Foraceca e per i bambini la Bottega di Geppetto per creare con il legno e il laboratorio con la fattoria creativa. Non mancheranno nemmeno lo street food e i tortelli di San Giuseppe dei ristoratori. Insomma, l’edizione 2026 della Fiera da venerdì 8 a domenica 10 maggio animerà Vernio, da Mercatale a San Quirico… e ritorno.

“Anno dopo anno la festa di San Giuseppe conferma la sua importanza, ci riconnette al cuore del nostro territorio e della nostra comunità – sottolinea la sindaca Maria Lucarini – Anche quest’anno arriva in maggio invece che in marzo, causa la concomitanza della data canonica con il referendum, ma adesso ci siamo. Siamo pronti a questa festa di comunità insieme alle associazioni, alle imprese locali e a tutti coloro che amano il fascino della cultura contadina. E sarà anche l’occasione per riflettere sul futuro e sulle opportunità della Val di Bisenzio”.

La manifestazione, promossa dal Comune di Vernio, ha il  patrocinio della Regione Toscana e la collaborazione di Appennino Slow a cui è affidata la gestione del mercato.

Il programma degli eventi prende il via venerdì 8 maggio. Alle 16 nella sala del Consiglio del palazzo comunale c’è il convegno “Distretti rurali e sviluppo territoriale. Governance locale e distretti del cibo: quali opportunità per la Val di Bisenzio?” organizzato dal Comune insieme ad Anci Toscana e alla Fondazione PIN con il patrocinio della Regione Toscana e rivolto alle associazioni di categoria e alle aziende agricole e agrituristiche.

Alle 18 nella Galleria di San Niccolò si inaugura la mostra “Dove abitano gli ultimi. Animali, radici e segni di una vita non addomesticata” con i disegni di animali di “Leonida”, al secolo Leonardo Terenzoni. All’interno della mostra, che rimarrà aperta fino al 7 giugno (orario lun/mer/ven 9-13, mar/gio 9-17, sab 9-12) alcuni esemplari di Stefano Stefanacci compongono la piccola esposizione dal titolo “Piccoli Giganti. La forza della natura racchiusa nell’arte del bonsai“.

Sabato 9 maggio dall’antica Pieve di Montecuccoli parte la passeggiata “Dove il bosco racconta: Foraceca tra memorie, natura e sapori antichi“, a cura di Fondazione CDSE e Associazione Bosco de’ Bardi. Un cammino lento tra sentieri e racconti, là dove il paesaggio custodisce storie antiche e profumi di un tempo. Percorso accessibile a tutti (40 minuti circa), per riscoprire insieme l’anima più autentica di Foraceca.

Al termine del percorso per gli adulti un momento di narrazione storica a cura di Annalisa Marchi accompagnato dalla dimostrazione della preparazione dei tradizionali brigidini, realizzati con le storiche piastre della famiglia Carmagnini.

Per i bambini invece il laboratorio “Pio, Oink e Muuu: la Fattoria Creativa!”, tra gioco, fantasia e natura, a cura di Giulio e Corina. A seguire, assaggi di prodotti locali dell’Azienda Agricola Foraceca, per concludere l’esperienza con i sapori del territorio. Domenica 10 maggio alle 10 in piazza del Comune l’apertura della fiera con il carro dei buoi e il taglio del nastro con la cornice della fattoria in piazza: esposizione a cura degli allevatori locali con asini, pecore, conigli, animali da cortile e dimostrazioni dal vivo, ad esempio il maniscalco con cavallo e il legaggio e carico della legna sui muli.

Alle 10.30 nella sala del Consiglio la presentazione del volume “La coltura promiscua. Creazione d’incanto del mondo contadino: un passato che diverrà futuro?” di Vittorio Cintolesi. Mentre alle 16, sempre nella sala del Consiglio alla riscoperta della Linea Gotica con la presentazione di “La Linea Gotica a Pistoia e Prato” di Gabriele Caproni e la conferenza storica di Daniele Amicarella. Nella saletta antistante il Consiglio si potrà anche ammirare l’esposizione di plastici di postazioni militari, mentre la mostra permanente della Linea Gotica rimarrà aperta per tutta la giornata.

Alle 15.30 c’è anche la possibilità di partecipare alla visita guidata, a cura di Accademia Bardi, al Palazzo Bardi, all’Oratorio e all’Archivio di S. Niccolò.

Gran divertimento anche per i bambini con La Bottega di Geppetto, dalle 15 nel chiostro del Palazzo comunale, laboratorio per la costruzione di giocattoli e sculture in legno recuperato, a cura di Associazione Fantulin. Nell’Oratorio di S. Niccolò invece sarà possibile ammirare la mostra “Il mondo contadino in miniatura“. Esposizione di Dino Naldi. Trattori, trebbie, mietitrebbie, buoi, cavalli, carri e tutto ciò che rappresenta la società contadina. Cinquant’anni di modellini rigorosamente in scala 1:10 perfettamente funzionanti.

Attesissimo il Mercato della Fiera, da Mercatale a S. Quirico… e ritorno, artigianato, piante, prodotti e macchinari per l’agricoltura. In piazza 1° maggio a Mercatale Il Cibo della Fiera: street food, agriturismi e food truck che offriranno la possibilità di degustare le delizie della Val di Bisenzio e molte altre bontà. E poi in piazza Mandela l’esposizione dei mezzi per il soccorso antincendio e giochi ed attività per i più piccoli a cura di VAB Val di Bisenzio e trattori d’epoca, intagli del legno e sculture con le motoseghe artistiche (dimostrazioni dal vivo alle 11 ed alle 15). L’intrattenimento musicale sarà a cura della Banda di Luicciana e ai Giardini delle Rocce per i più piccoli ci saranno anche giostra e gonfiabili. All’interno della fiera anche due iniziative di solidarietà, le coperte di Viva Vittoria per dire no alla violenza sulle donne con il coordinamento dell’associazione MOICA e le “borsine di S. Giuseppe” a cura di Caritas e Aiuti dalla Vallata.

E per celebrare la fiera nella giornata di domenica cinque ristoratori della Val di Bisenzio promuoveranno I tortelli di San Giuseppe a 10 euro. L’obiettivo principale di questo appuntamento è duplice: da un lato approfondire gli aspetti tecnici e scientifici legati alla manutenzione e alla cura di questi giganti verdi; dall’altro, permettere alla cittadinanza di apprezzarne di persona il valore storico e naturalistico attraverso una passeggiata. La mattina di venerdì 8 maggio terremo un seminario tecnico durante il quale verrà restituito l’importante lavoro svolto dal dottore agronomo forestale Alessio Santosuosso. Grazie all’utilizzo di tecnologie laser scanner, è stata effettuata una mappatura precisa di tutti gli esemplari censiti sul nostro territorio: questo ci permetterà di avere un focus dettagliato sul loro stato di conservazione e di programmare gli eventuali interventi di manutenzione necessari”.

Il seminario tecnico si svolgerà venerdì 8 maggio ore 9 al Centro Giovani “David Sassoli” (Piazza Don L. Milani, 3) con una mattinata di studi con relatori di prestigio. Dopo i saluti istituzionali del sindaco Simone Calamai, il programma prevede l’intervento del professor Federico Guglielmo Maetzke (Accademia Italiana di Scienze Forestali) che illustrerà il quadro legislativo nazionale. Il dottore forestale Etw Stefano Bini (Consorzio Sinergia Verde) approfondirà gli interventi pratici di manutenzione. Inoltre, saranno presentati i risultati del progetto Clim4dem applicato al Parco Mediceo di Pratolino dall’agronomo Francesco Zammarchi (Unifi-DAGRI). Il focus sugli alberi monumentali montemurlesi è affidato al dottor agronomo Alessio Santosuosso che farà il punto sullo stato del patrimonio monumentale di Montemurlo; seguirà la relazione della dottoressa forestale Serena Sofia che presenterà le analisi LIDAR e le strategie di salvaguardia. L’incontro si concluderà alle 13 con l’illustrazione del percorso trekking previsto per il giorno seguente.

La mattinata di sabato 9 maggio sarà dedicata al trekking tra i giganti verdi. Grazie alla collaborazione del Gruppo Trekking “Storia Camminata” si potrà partecipare ad un percorso guidato tra gli alberi monumentali del territorio montemurlese. Il ritrovo dei partecipanti è previsto alle 8 alla Rocca di Montemurlo. Ai partecipanti iscritti all’Ordine dei Dottori Agronomi e dei Dottori Forestali saranno riconosciuti i relativi crediti formativi professionali. L’iniziativa è realizzata grazie al contributo di D.R.E.A.M. Italia, Sinergia Verde, Concagri Giardineria, AUSF Firenze e il Gruppo Trekking Storia Camminata.

“Le chiusure dei tre campi sportivi avvenuti a seguito dei controlli di Asl nei mesi scorsi hanno fatto emergere un quadro chiaro: mi chiedo come sia possibile che un Comune, dopo regolare bando, consegni ad una società un impianto sportivo senza fornire la documentazione necessaria soprattutto in termini di agibilità. Perchè, di fatto, è quel che è avvenuto – ha aggiunto Banchelli – e ciò rappresenta, oltre che un danno inferto alle società, anche un problema ulteriore per le famiglie, che vedono ridursi possibilità e spazi per far sì che i loro figli pratichino attività sportiva in sicurezza.

Voglio infine fare i miei complimenti al Paperino San Giorgio, che ha vinto il campionato di Terza Categoria nonostante da mesi debba fare a meno del campo sportivo di San Giorgio a Colonica a seguito delle carenze documentali riscontrate da Asl.

Un campo che la società utilizzava peraltro dopo esser stata “sfrattata” dal Comune dal precedente impianto, sul quale sta sorgendo il Textile Hub. Il fatto che il Paperino San Giorgio sia costretto a giocare le partite casalinghe sul territorio comunale di Campi Bisenzio, perchè nemmeno il nuovo campo di via Lille sarà pronto in tempi brevi, rappresenta l’ennesimo esempio della mancanza di programmazione delle ultime amministrazioni PD”

L’intervento ha visto il rifacimento completo dell’asfaltatura per un tratto di oltre 600 metri di lunghezza, interessando non solo la sede stradale e le corsie viarie, ma anche le aree di sosta adiacenti. Il tratto interessato è quello di via Parugiano di Sotto dalla rotatoria con via Boito alla rotatoria con via dell’Industria. Il lavoro ha richiesto un investimento economico significativo da parte dell’amministrazione comunale pari a circa 300 mila euro.

“Questa strada rappresenta la dorsale principale per la circolazione, in particolare per il traffico industriale della zona produttiva compresa tra Santorezzo e Bagnolo.- spiega il sindaco Simone Calamai – L’obiettivo è duplice: da un lato, garantire la massima sicurezza della circolazione per tutti i cittadini; dall’altro, assicurare il decoro urbano delle nostre aree produttive e dei centri abitati, migliorando complessivamente le condizioni della viabilità”.

L’intervento su via Parugiano di Sotto rappresenta solo il primo passo di un piano più ampio per il 2026: durante l’anno l’amministrazione comunale proseguirà con nuove asfaltature e lavori di manutenzione straordinaria che coinvolgeranno altre strade strategiche della rete viaria comunale.

Contestualmente, Cecconi ha indicato loro tre azioni prioritarie sull’argomento. “Prato, come molte realtà italiane ha un parco immobili costruito prevalentemente nel primo dopo-guerra con caratteristiche che niente hanno a che fare con la richiesta abitativa attuale. Credo che la prima azione che un’amministrazione politica dovrebbe attuare debba essere quella di agevolare i cambi di destinazione, per esempio da produttivo a residenziale, ed i frazionamenti in più unità abitative, Pratiche che oggi hanno molteplici vincoli e una normativa a volte non chiara – ha detto Cecconi – la seconda priorità riguarda la riorganizzazione degli uffici comunali preposti alle pratiche urbanistiche e catastali, tramite un incremento del personale per ridurre i tempi di gestione delle pratiche, magari utilizzando anche le nuove tecnologie, che oggi non sono conformi alla velocit- delle transazioni ed al mercato cittadino.

La terza priorità, infine, è quella di permettere anche ai privati di poter dare una mano sul piano economico al Comune per la ristrutturazione, il mantenimento ed il decoro del patrimonio pubblico. In questo periodo si parlo dello stadio Lungobisenzio che versa in condizioni inaccettabili per una città di 200mila abitanti, ma gli esempi sono tanti e non solo sportivi. Il nuovo sindaco, come prima cosa, dovrebbe iniziare a dialogare con chi vuole investire veramente in questa città. Ed agevolare gli investitori con convenzioni chiare e con una predisposizione alla collaborazione vera e proficua”.

Study finds most organizations recognize the need for connected data, content, and workflows, but few have built the operational foundation required to scale AI 

CLEVELAND, April 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Hyland, a global leader in enterprise content management (ECM) and the pioneer of AI-driven content intelligence with the Content Innovation Cloud™ , today announced new research from Harvard Business Review Analytic Services, Bridging the Readiness Gap to the Agentic Enterprise, showing that enterprise AI ambition is advancing faster than enterprise readiness. While organizations increasingly recognize that AI success depends on connected data, content, and workflows, most have not yet built the operational foundation required to scale it. 

The gap is especially visible in how organizations are managing enterprise information. While nearly all (94%) of respondents say well-connected data, processes, and applications are highly important to successful AI adoption, less than a third (27%) say those elements are well connected in their organization today. And although 65% say their structured data is somewhat or fully prepared for AI use, only 39% say the same about their unstructured data, including emails, PDFs, images, video, and other document-based content that make up much of the information businesses rely on every day. 

Untapped Opportunity in Unstructured Data 

For many organizations, the issue is not a lack of data. It is that much of the most operationally important information remains trapped in unstructured data spread across repositories, applications, and workflows. The report suggests that closing this gap will require more than deploying new AI tools. It will depend on building a stronger foundation for governance, access, and workflow execution, especially as organizations move toward more agentic forms of AI. 

“As organizations move into the next phase of AI, the challenge is no longer just access to models, but whether the business is ready to operationalize AI in a way that is governed, contextual, and trusted,” said Jitesh S. Ghai, CEO of Hyland. “The agentic enterprise takes shape when AI is embedded into real operational workflows, grounded in the content, data, and controls the business already depends on. For many organizations, unstructured data is both the most overlooked asset and the biggest obstacle to scaling AI effectively.” 

The research identifies several barriers that continue to limit organizations’ ability to adopt and scale AI. The top-cited data challenges are data silos (54%), data security and privacy issues (48%), data format issues (46%), insufficient data management and governance (46%), and insufficient or unclear data strategy (45%). Just 10% cite a lack of data as a primary issue, reinforcing that the central problem is not volume, but readiness, access, and trust. 

A Practical Path to Enterprise AI Readiness 

The findings also suggest that many organizations still have not embedded AI into day-to-day operations. Among respondents at organizations actively using, piloting, or exploring AI, 39% say most AI-enabled workflows still rely on separate, standalone tools, while only 12% say AI is embedded directly within the flow of work. Fewer than half, 45%, say their AI projects are delivering the outcomes they expected. 

“As companies move toward advanced and agentic forms of AI, the bar is being raised; not just for technology, but for how information flows, decisions are governed, and value is measured,” said Amy Machado, senior research manager at IDC. “The organizations that invest in modernizing their content foundations and embedding intelligence into real workflows will be best positioned to turn AI ambition into sustained impact.”

In the final stages toward certification, H55 successfully validated its Energy Storage System (ESS) in a fully integrated configuration, bringing together all critical subsystems into a complete and operational architecture. The test setup included Battery Modules (BMs), Battery Management Units (BMUs), Energy Flow Counter (EFC), Protection and Power Distribution Unit (PPDU) and the Charge Control Unit (CCU). 

The campaign focused on validating system-level performance, communication integrity, and—critically—safety functionality under real operating conditions. The results confirmed robust and reliable coordination across all subsystems, ensuring stable and predictable system behavior across a range of scenarios. 

A key outcome of the campaign was the successful verification of critical safety functions at system level, including the automatic and controlled disconnection of power under predefined fault or off-nominal conditions—an essential capability for safe operation in aviation environments.
